My Adobe Max Experience

Speaking in front of a crowd at Adobe Max 2023

In 2020, when I embarked on my graphic design journey, I had little knowledge of Adobe Max. Fast forward to October 10-12, 2023, and I found myself at Adobe Max in Los Angeles, CA, alongside two fellow student interns from Cal State Monterey Bay. Those three incredible days not only introduced me to some of my design idols, such as James Barnard, Aaron Draplin, and Chris Do, but also provided a sneak peek into cutting-edge design technology.

Yet, the most profound impact was the surge of creativity I gained from the sessions and interactions with fellow designers. Leading up to the conference, I had been in a creative rut, questioning my skills and purpose in design. It's a common feeling, one I plan to address in a future post.

Attending Adobe Max with high hopes of reigniting my creativity, I found what I was looking for. Conversations about Adobe's new generative fill feature and sharing workspace challenges with like-minded creatives transformed my outlook and mental capacity. The continuous support from established designers, fellow attendees, and session speakers reassured me of my place in the creative world.

Adobe, as an industry standard, plays a pivotal role in the creative field. Adobe Max was an eye-opening experience, revealing its significance and the community it fosters. It's an essential platform for connecting with fellow creatives and fueling your success.

Adobe Max 2023 was a game-changer for me, and I'm committed to not missing it in the future. I'm grateful for the connections I've made and the inspiration I've received from fellow designers. Join me on this blog as I explore more about this transformative journey and the lessons learned.
